One added cost of staying in a hotel that many travelers may forget about is parking. There are many hotels that don’t offer parking for guests or charge extra for it.
Crowded cities like New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. have a shortage of parking spaces; half moon bay hotels. Many of the hotels in those cities, especially the older hotels, may not have adequate parking available for guests. This means that persons who want to drive their cars to such cities should check ahead to see if the hotel has parking available.
Downtown hotels in some cities like Denver and Chicago may also have no parking or only a limited amount of parking available. In some cases, a hotel guest may have to pay to park their car extra at a commercial lot or garage.
A good way to ensure that your hotel has free parking available is to stay in a hotel in a suburban area. Most suburban hotels do have plenty of free parking available and quite a few of them have cheaper rates.
