Experts recommend vacuuming your carpets at least once every few days to prolong the life of your carpet. Doing so keeps the dirt and grit from destroying the fibers inside the carpet. Although you may think that the carpet looks clean, inside the fibers you can’t see the grit that is cutting through the fiber itself.
Be sure to not rush the process. Take more time by going slowly, especially if your home has deeper and more plush carpet piles. You may want to go back over them a second or third time to be sure that your machine has suctioned up all of the dirt and grit.
